Small groups are on the way to Goodman Oaks.
But there is a vital piece we must have in place first: small group leaders!
We are calling for volunteers to serve as small group leaders. What does it look like to be a small group leader?
● It looks like facilitating discussion. You will be given sermon discussion questions to prompt the group to go deeper in the Scripture and message of the day.
● It looks like praying for each person in your small group daily.
● It looks like meeting with shepherds and ministers for support and encouragement
● It does NOT mean you must host the small group in your home.
● It does NOT look like teaching a Bible class with hours of preparation.
● It does NOT look like carrying all the responsibility for everything that needs to be done in a small group!
We are also calling volunteers for small group co-leaders. What does this look like?
● This looks like serving with administrative tasks such as keeping weekly attendance and checking on members who may miss group meetings.
● This looks like providing weekly communication with the group for details such as location and time of the small group meeting.
● It looks like meeting with shepherds and ministers for support and encouragement.
● This could look like becoming a small group leader in the future as our groups multiply.
● This does NOT mean you must host the small group in your home.
● This does NOT look like carrying all the responsibility for the small group.
